Summer Reading
Summer Reading Assignments
The purpose of summer reading is to enrich the student’s literary experience and continue the development of reading strategies using time not available during the school year. Students are provided with a list of books from which to select. The student must read one of the books before the start of the school year. The students will be given an assessment on the book at the start of the school year.
The students were given the books lists and information on summer reading assignments in June. It is provided here as well.
You must purchase the book or pick up the book at the library. Books on the summer reading list are available at the Junior High East Library in limited quantities.
