Pennsylvania’s First No Place for Hate School

Junior High West is proud to be the first school to be certified as a “No Place for Hate” school by the Anti-defamation League. West participated in the following activities during the spring of 2005 to become a No Place for Hate school.
• Completed a school wide assessment to reflect on the needs of the school.
• Gave all students and staff to sign the Resolution of Respect (link).
• Spelled “Unite with West” as a school wide team building activity.
• Provided school wide diversity training for the entire staff.
• Held a t-shirt design contest.
• Organized a dance marathon to support future No Place for Hate programs.
