The information provided below is to assist you with understanding school assignment of new students entering into the Boyertown Area School District during the 2007-2008 school year.
Any changes to this information will be posted when/if approved by the Board of Directors of the Boyertown Area School District.
A gray area is defined as a region where a newly enrolling student could be assigned to more than one elementary school based on student enrollment and available space in our schools.
Newly enrolling students are defined as students in grades kindergarten through six who enroll to attend school for the 2007-2008 school year and do not have siblings who already attend a BASD elementary school. Students enrolling for 2007-2008 who already have siblings in our elementary schools will attend the same school as the sibling.
School assignment of students who reside in the gray area will occur in July 2007. This plan was approved by the Boyertown Area School District Board of School Directors on March 27, 2007.

New students who reside in the gray area may be assigned to either of the schools.
A large scaled district map is available for your review in the district office each business day from 7:30 – 4:30.

Elementary principals also have information and can assist you with questions or help you determine if you reside in a designated gray area.
“Gray” attendance areas have been implemented in the Boyertown Area School District (BASD) since 2004. These have been developed to address increased student enrollment at some of our elementary schools.
