Mrs. Beth Shive is originally from Bethlehem, PA. She attended Lehigh University where she received a B.A. in Psychology in 1992. She received her M.Ed. from Lehigh University in Secondary School Counseling in 1994. Mrs. Shive is currently in her 17th year as a school counselor having experience at both the junior high and high school level. When she is not working, she enjoys time with her husband, Tucker and her son, Trey. Mrs. Shive loves to walk, bake, shop, dine, read and work on her house that was built in 1793. bshive@boyertownasd.org |

Ms. Sandra Gallagher grew up in Limerick, PA. She has been a Learning Support and Social Studies teacher for both the Spring-Ford and Boyertown Area School Districts. Ms. Gallagher completed her Master of Science in Counseling and Human Relations from Villanova University in 2009. Since then, she has substituted for both the Junior High East and Junior High West counseling offices prior to coming to the High School. Some of Ms. Gallagher’s favorite things include hiking, traveling, history, the Phillies, as well as spending time with friends, family, and her two children, Colleen and Adam. sgallagher@boyertownasd.org

Christy Meitzler is a 1997 graduate of Boyertown Area Senior High. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kutztown University in 2001 and her Master’s degree in Counseling from Kutztown University in 2004. Prior to her employment at Boyertown she worked as a research coordinator and psychology department assistant for Kutztown University. She enjoys dancing, traveling, the outdoors, movies, reading, and golf.

Mr. David Slider is a graduate of Muhlenberg College where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in History and was a member of several championship soccer teams. Mr. Slider earned his masters degree in secondary counseling from Kutztown University in 1977. He has been employed by the Boyertown Area School District since that time, serving first as a Social Studies teacher in the senior high and part-time counselor until 1994. In 1994 he became a full-time counselor. While working in Boyertown, Mr. Slider, has been an assistant boy's soccer coach for 7 years, and assistant boy's basketball coach for 4 years and the head girl's basketball coach for 13 years. Mrs. Wilma Schaeffer is the guidance secretary and she has held that position for the past 31 years. She has been employed by the school district for 34 years, with the first 3 ½ years serving as a secretary in the senior high school library. Mrs. Schaeffer is a 1971 graduate of Boyertown Area Senior High School. Her hobbies include crafts and reading.

Susan Groff is a graduate of Boyertown Senior High School. Her past job experiences include: private secretarial experience, business and agriculture – working with Penn State University, banking experience in loans, stocks, and in the trust department. She has three children and resides in the Boyertown Area. Mrs. Groff has been employed in the school district since 1990. |
