1. How do I check out materials from the Library?
Students: After you decide on what you want, show your ID card at the Circulation Desk. Your ID number is used to check out items.
Public: Please ask for a Library card.
2. Do I need to have my ID card with me, if I want to check out anything?
It is preferred to have your ID, but the Library Staff will make a one time exception.
3. How many books am I allowed to check out?
You may have a total of 10 items out at one time, but only three may be on a particular subject at one time.
4. How long may I borrow books, etc.?
Books are due two weeks from check out, which may be renewed for another two weeks. Reference books, videos and CD’s are overnight. They can also be renewed.
5. Are there fines for overdue items?
Yes, for students! Fines on books are $.10 per day. Fines on overnight items are $.50 per day. Fines must be paid before new items are loaned.
6. What happens if I lose a book?
You will be held responsible for paying to replace the book. If the book is located, after you have paid for it, your money will be returned minus the late fees that occurred.
7. Is there a photocopier that I can use?
Yes, you may make as many black & white copies as you need at $.10 per page. Color copies are not available.
8. May I use a computer while in the Library? May I print?
Yes! Please sign in with a Library Staff member. You will be asked for which teacher your project was assigned. Color and black & white printers are available at no charge. It is expected that you choose wisely, before printing multiple page documents.
9. May I use the Library computers to check my e-mail?
No! You would be in direct violation of your signed AUP (Acceptable Use Policy) document, if you checked your home e-mail account.
