Welcome to Boyertown Area Senior High (BASH)! We are truly excited for another exciting year at BASH.

We encourage inquiry among all stakeholders within the school community which we believe will increase the likelihood of success for all beyond the years of high school. We strongly believe that it does take a community to raise a child. We believe in hiring and retaining people who care and continue to have the best interest of all students in mind. We welcome suggestions which will enhance the learning for all of our students.

Within the scope of the school day, we will be implementing many extended learning opportunities for all of our students. Through available tutoring periods, a homework intervention center (HIC), and a writing lab; students will be provided with many opportunities to extend their learning.

We will continue to work to provide students with many educational opportunities to build strong relationships with all stakeholders. We continue to work hard to meet the needs of all of our students. We believe in developing successful young men and women to become life-long learners in a 21st Century global economy.

We encourage the utilization of the Home Access Center (HAC), which allows parents/guardians to view their child(ren)’s grades and assignments via the internet.

Parents will receive additional information on various presentations and evening programs, via mailings, that will provide pertinent information regarding their child(ren)’s education, career planning, and safety. We encourage the use of the BASH website link, http://www.boyertownasd.org/our-schools/senior-high/Letters-from-the-Desk-of-the-Principal.aspx where we will post current mailings.

The BASH BEAR Essentials weekly e-newsletter mailing is another resource to find pertinent information regarding our school. The following link,  http://www.boyertownasd.org/pages/email-signup.aspx , will allow you to sign up as an active member of the listserv for this e-newsletter mailing.

We strongly believe that these efforts promote greater school-to-home communication to ensure our students and parents/guardians are informed and aware of our many excellent programs.

I would like to leave you with a thought provoking quote attributed to Harry S. Truman which I believe truly defines what learning is… “It’s what you learn after you know it all that counts.”
