Good day, eh? I am excited to begin my fifth year teaching at BASH. I am in my 26th year of teaching, spending many years at Boyertown Junior High West. I earned my B.S. Ed. from Kutztown University in 1992 and my M. Ed. from DeSales University in 2001. I look forward to exploring high school biology in the 2019-2020 school year.
Academic biology is a rigorous introduction to the biological sciences emphasizing cellular structure. The student will explore the basic make-up of living things, how they carry out life processes, pass characteristics on from one generation to the next, and interact with one another and the environment. This course is designed to prepare students for the Pennsylvania Keystone Exam in Biology. This is a laboratory course recommended for anyone planning to take higher-level science courses, and/or go on to a four-year college.
