• Welcome!                                               *
I am excited to be celebrating my 12th year teaching at Washington Elementary School.  This year I will be teaching 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students in the areas of math, reading, writing, and word study.  I am happy to be co-teaching again with Mrs. Hersh.  We will have a 5th grade co-taught math class, as well as a 5th grade co-taught writing class.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Penn State University and a Masters Degree in Education from Temple University.  My husband and I have been married for 25 years and we have 3 wonderful children.  My oldest son recently graduated from Temple University, my other son is a senior at Penn State University, and my daughter is a sophomore at Bloomsburg University.  In my free time, I enjoy bike riding, reading, and gardening.  I love spending time outdoors and enjoy hiking, too.
I am committed to creating a warm, respectful, and productive classroom.  The environment in my classroom is a supportive one in which all students are encouraged to ask questions, strive to do their very best, and take pride in all of their accomplishments!  I firmly believe in a strong line of communication between home and school and encourage parents to contact me with any concerns or anything that might be helpful for me to know about your child. I hope to work with parents as a team to ensure each student's unique needs are being met.
Looking forward to another fantastic year with all of my students!!
