Welcome to Boyertown Area Senior High

  •

Our common value is “to treat ALL of our students as we would want our own child(ren) to be treated;” which is supported by the following words of Paul D. Shafer…“The most important single influence in the life of a person is another person... who is worthy of emulation.”  These words shall be evident in everything we do. We are highly confident in our faculty, support staff, administrators, and community who sincerely care and continue to have the best interest of ALL students in mind.

Through supporting the following words of Goethe …"Treat people as if they were what they ought to be and you help them become what they are capable of becoming," we believe we will increase the likelihood of success for all students beyond their years of high school. We commit to the philosophy that it does take a community to raise a child and will continue to encourage inquiry among all stakeholders within the school community. We welcome suggestions which will enhance the learning for all of our students.

An anonymous author once stated "Students don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” We will continue to work to provide students with many educational opportunities to build strong relationships with all stakeholders. We will work hard to meet the needs of all of our students. We believe in developing successful young men and women to become life-long learners in a 21st Century global economy.

We strongly believe in our mission “to enable all students to succeed in a changing world.” “Student learning and achievement” is the vision we see for ALL of our students. We will strive to meet the following four goals: Provide a safe school climate that promotes learning for ALL students; Provide collaborative opportunities for ALL students and staff; Utilize best practice teaching strategies that will allow for the success of ALL students; Provide appropriate academic and social interventions for ALL students.

Within the scope of the school day we will continue to offer many extended and/or accelerated learning opportunities to all of our students. Through our academic intervention center (Current Instructional Support-CIS, Mandatory Instructional Support-MIS, & Guided Instructional Support-GIS); students will be provided with many opportunities to extend and/or enrich their learning. We encourage the utilization of the Home Access Center (HAC), which allows parents/guardians to view their child(ren)’s grades and assignments via the internet.

Parents will receive additional information on various presentations and evening programs, via mailings, that will provide pertinent information regarding their child(ren)’s education, career planning, and safety. We encourage the use of the BASH website link, where we will post current mailings.

The BASH Week-In-Review weekly e-newsletter mailing is another resource to find pertinent information regarding our school.

We are currently using Infinite Campus messenger to communicate with families, please make sure that your information is correct in our system. The Week In Review is sent to families through this pathway. You may always see the Week In Review from the principal’s page as well.

We feel that these efforts promote greater school-to-home communication to ensure our students, parents/guardians, and community are informed and aware of our many excellent programs.

We look forward to a wonderful school year!
