    About Me

I earned a bachelors degree in biology from the University of Scranton in 2007. I continued my education at Saint Joseph's University. There I earned a masters degree in biology in 2009. I was in a truly amazing program where I taught elementary school science in North Philadelphia through a partnership with the Wagner Free Insititute of Science and the National Science Foundation. My thesis is published at the library at Saint Joe's, which outlined shoaliong behaviors in local fishes, as well as a survey of the Wissahickon Creek in Philadelphia. During 2009 - 2010 school year I taught a combined 7th and 8th grade class at St. Joseph Regional Academy in Jim Thorpe, PA. I also began coursework at East Stroudsburg University for my teaching certificate. I returned to school full time and earned my teaching certificate that next year. In 2011 I taught at Exeter Township Senior High School, then in November I was hired at Jim Thorpe Area High School. I taught mathematics there until I was hired to teach Biology and Chemistry this year at Boyertown Area Senior High School. I am thrilled to be back teaching science!

Personally I love spending time with my family. I have a wonderful wife and a daughter, Charlotte, and two sons, Tripp and Maverick. I have a large garden and plan on rasing chickens in the near future. I love sports, and I am an avid Philly fan. My wife and I also have season tickets to Penn State Football.
