Eureka Math
BASD has selected Eureka Math as the backbone of our
math curriculum at the elementary level.
Eureka Math
- is research-based.
- aligns to Common Core Standards.
- provides cohesion across grade levels.
- focuses on understanding how and why math works instead of memorizing rules.
- requires students to apply their knowledge to solve problems.
Eureka Math was developed specifically to meet the new standards and is the only comprehensive curriculum fully aligned with the standards for grades K-8. Eureka Math was written by a team of teachers and mathematicians who took great care to present mathematics in a logical progression from grade PK—12. This coherent approach allows teachers to know what incoming students already have learned and ensures that students are prepared for what comes next.
