Pennsylvania School Breakfast Program

All students in the Boyertown Area School District are eligible to receive breakfast in the cafeteria each school day. The governor's free breakfast initiative will continue, providing breakfast at no charge to students at participating schools in the School Breakfast Program. Therefore, students will not be charged for breakfast for the 2025-2026 school year.

Breakfast will be available during the following times each morning:

Secondary Schools 7:15 to 7:40 AM
Elementary Schools 8:25 to 8:45 AM

ATTENTION 1st - 5th GRADE FAMILIES - New for 2025-2026

Proper school meal information tracking, including the processing of payment information, is a key component to running a self-funded school meal program such as BASD's. That information is collected at both our breakfasts and lunches and used to track information at the local, state, and federal levels and to ensure proper payments, as applicable. This information is also used to secure funding of additional programs.

Currently, at our elementary schools, our Food Services staff is responsible for manually inputting student data into our system as each student works their way through the meal line at every meal. This process can be inefficient and time-consuming. Often, our youngest students are reluctant to answer questions, cannot hear the request, or may find it hard to understand or hear due to the noise in the cafeteria.

Our team has done research aimed at increasing efficiencies and allowing more time for students to enjoy their meals. As a result, we have added keypads in each of our elementary buildings that will allow students to enter their unique Student ID number independently.

The Student ID number is a six-digit number found in Infinite CampusA screenshot of where to find this information is attached below. This number is used for multiple purposes throughout a student's time with the district, beginning in kindergarten. Learning the number as soon as a student is able will assist them throughout their time with us across multiple processes, including using the cafeteria.

We are asking that our elementary families begin working with their elementary students to memorize and practice entering their Student ID number using a keypad activity attached below. We believe many of our students have already memorized the number and will simply need to know that we are updating the process in the cafeteria.

 We appreciate your assistance!
