School Counseling
The BASD school counselors help students succeed academically,
socially, and emotionally in school and the community.
Our School Counseling Program:
- Develops strategies to overcome barriers to learning.
- Provides state-certified, master’s-degree-level school counselors functioning within the American School Counselor Association model.
- Integrates counseling program components into academic areas.
- Utilizes evidence-based practices.
Our School Counselors:
- Advocate for students to promote their academic, career, personal, and
social development. - Abide by the professional school counseling ethics as advocated by the
American School Counselor Association. - Will maintain a quality school counseling program by participating in current & relevant professional development as supported by Boyertown Area School District.
- Serve as resources to all members of the school community.
- Promote school and community relationships.

Child Abuse
Whenever there is reasonable cause to suspect child abuse, school officials are required by law to report these cases to county and state agencies. These agencies have the legal right to interview students at school without parental consent.
