Continuity of Education is the overarching term for any educational practices that occur in the event of a prolonged school closure. Students must have the opportunity to develop and maintain skills while away from their customary school environment. Continuity of Education can be achieved through Planned Instruction, Enrichment, and Review or a combination thereof.
The goal of the Boyertown Area School District (BASD) Continuity of Education Plan (COEP) is to provide a framework of meaningful educational opportunities for students to maintain and develop skills, conceptual knowledge, and understandings that are specifically aligned with the Pennsylvania Academic Standards while away from the traditional school environment during this ongoing school closure. Our COE Plan consists of opportunities for both Virtual and Corresponding Education.
