    About Me

    Hobbies:
     
    I love being outdoors. Many of my hobbies include outdoor activities such as: mountain biking and mountain bike racing, road biking, skiing, and hiking with my wife Kristin and my son Brice. I like studying various aspects of science and learning about the world around me.   
     

    Background:

    I attended Shippensburg University for my undergraduate degree and received my master's degree from Penn State University in science curriculum and instruction. I have continued my education by conducting scientific research in Costa Rica and Panama on the biodiversity of the rainforest, hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, explored the Amazon Rainforest, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, completed an African safari, and hiked around Mont Blanc in Europe.
