Boyertown Area Senior High School’s Choirs are excited to bring their energy and passion for music to the stage! Located 45 miles northwest of Philadelphia, PA, the Boyertown Area School District spans 100-square miles and includes seven K-6 elementary schools, two 7-9 junior highs, and one high school for grades 10 -12.  The high school currently enrolls 1,700 students. Choirs include a 100-voice Concert Choir, 40-voice Mixed Chorale, 40-voice Select Show Choir, and 20 voice- Select Chamber Choir.  The choirs rehearse daily as part of the curricular school day and the select choirs practice in the evenings.  The Music Department at Boyertown has had a long tradition of excellence.  The choirs have been featured at Pennsylvania Music Educator Association, National Association for Music Education, and American Choral Director’s Association conferences.  In January 2015 the select choir was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City, and the choirs also traveled to the Czech Republic and Austria in April 2015 where they were invited to perform at the Salzburg Dom for Easter Sunday Mass.  This past April the choir was invited to perform at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Morristown, NJ as part of their performing arts tour to New Jersey, Manhattan, Staten Island, and Brooklyn.   The district music department is staffed by 17-talented, hard working faculty members who strive for the advancement of quality music K-12.  The department also receives strong support from the community, administration, and the Boyertown Area Music League, all of whom helped make today’s performance possible.
