I received my undergraduate degree in early childhood and elementary education at Kutztown University in May, 2005. This is my 12th year as an educator. My teaching career began as a fourth grade teacher of Culpeper County Schools in Virginia. The following year, I taught third grade to expand my educational repertoire. In 2007, I accepted a third grade position at Gilbertsville Elementary, which allowed me to move back home to be closer to family. In 2011, upon receiving my masters degree in reading at Kutztown University, I accepted a position at New Hanover Elementary as an Intervention Teacher. In 2013, I was given the opportunity to become New Hanover's Reading Specialist, and have been happily enjoying this role ever since!
Outside of the classroom, I am the proud mama of three beautiful girls, Makayla, Emma, and Olivia, and the wife of 10 years to Chris. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and cooking.
