Welcome to Boyertown Elementary School

  • Boyertown Elementary School is one of seven elementary schools in the Boyertown Area School District. Our school is located in the town of Boyertown and is across the street from Junior High West. We currently have approximately 640 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. We have four classes in each grade from first through sixth grade for the 2015-2016 school year. We currently have three sections of kindergarten.  In addition we have at least one co-taught class in grades two through six.

Students in grades one through six receive weekly instruction in the areas of art, music, wellness and fitness, library, and computer skills.  Kindergarten students receive instruction in the special areas on a biweekly basis.  We have two full time reading specialists. We also have a full time remediation teacher and a full time counselor. In addition, there is a Student Assistance Team to support students who are having academic and/or behavioral difficulty.

BES is a quality school where every child is viewed as an individual by the members of our very caring and dedicated staff. It offers numerous learning opportunities for its students. The curriculum has been approved by the school board and is based upon the state standards. Student achievement is measured throughout the year by both informal and formal methods.

We are fortunate to have very supportive parents who volunteer to share their time and talents with our school. Boyertown Elementary School has a very active Parent and Teacher Organization (PTO). Parents are encouraged to join this organization and become involved in the numerous activities that occur throughout the year.

The exceptional staff at BES is committed to children. Our teachers actively attend conferences, go to workshops, and take courses to continue to learn and grow. The overall theme this year will be “No Place for Hate”. We were re-certified as a “No Place for Hate” school in the spring of 2015.

Our students have a positive attitude toward learning. As students, parents, teachers, support staff, and the community continue to work together, we can help our students prepare for the many exciting possibilities the future holds. We look forward to a wonderful year!
