Welcome Speech

Hello.  My name is Peter Ventresca.   I have had the privilege of working at BASH for the last 17 years, but I have been teaching Health and Physical Education for a total of 26 years while working in NY, NJ and PA.  I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from Lock Haven University and later received my Master's Degree in Physical Education from SUNY Cortland. I was the head coach of the varsity wrestling team for 14 years, but retired to get the chance to coach my son.  During my free time, I enjoy working out, cheering on the Eagles, traveling, fishing, surfing and spending time with my family.

Teaching students the way sports, nutrition and a healthy lifestyle can change their lives is very important to me. During this year we will cover topics such as Social and Emotional Health, Nutrition, Drugs and Alcohol Awareness and the effects of exercise on the body.  I look forward to instilling the importance of these practices into each upcoming class.
