Hi, my name is Mr. Brass and I teach Technology Education at Boyertown Middle School East. I teach grades 6-8 and have been with the district since 2004. Technology Education is an activity-based course which explores the engineering design process and STEM concepts.
I am also a TSA advisor (Technology Student Association) at East. TSA is a technology centered club that meets during and after school. The goal of the club is to prepare and compete in a variety of technology related competitions. We participate in the regional and state conferences.
I have been married for over 24 years. My wife and I have 3 children ages 14, 16, and 18. During our free time we enjoy traveling and attending the different activities our children are involved in. Before teaching I spent 10 years employed as an ironworker and 6 years in the Army Reserves.
One thing I enjoy about teaching is witnessing student excitement as they learn new concepts.
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
