Meet Mrs.Bigham
Hello! Welcome to my classroom website! I hope you and your family are able to use this as a tool to keep up with the learning taking place in our classroom. Here is a little information so you can get to know me!
I graduated from West Chester University with a degree in Elementary Education in May of 2005 and began teaching 5th grade at Pine Forge the following school year. In 2008, I switched to teaching 2nd grade. I also have received a Masters Degree in Classroom Technology through Wilkes University. I love teaching and learning and all that it involves. Nothing is better than seeing a child's face light up when they finally "get it"!
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have a 10 year old daugher Kylie, who will be in 5th grade this year, and a 7 year old son, Jack, who's going into 2nd grade. Between the two of them, they keep us very busy! We also have a 12 year old chocolate lab, Rocky who is always adding to the chaos and laughter in the Bigham house.
As a family, we love to go for walks or bike rides, and spending time at our beach house in Sea Isle City. In fact, I love the beach so much, I have turned my classroom into "Bigham Beach", where learning is "fun in the sun all year long".
As a teacher, I believe that parent/teacher communication is vital to having a successful school year. My website is one way I hope to keep you informed about what is going on in our classroom. I hope that you will find the information on this website helpful and will use it to help your child grow as a learner.
