School Hosts Annual Veterans’ Day Breakfast

On Friday November 9th, Pine Forge Elementary School honored veterans with a celebration feast at their third annual Veterans Day Breakfast. Together, students and their beloved family members who served, enjoyed a plentiful breakfast spread complete with donuts and coffee.

Cheerful chatter filled the gym as students and veterans ate and shared experiences. Fifth grade students Gavin Kisney and Carter Tinley sat with their grandfather, Mr. Jeff Kinsey, who served in the Navy. Both Gavin and Carter were excited to spend the morning with their grandfather.chld with father and grandmother

Second grade student Dietrich Gross sat with his father Mr. Eric Gross and his ‘Grammy’ Mrs. Judy Gross, who both served in the Army. Dietrich’s mother Mrs. Krista Gross organized the event on behalf of the Pine Forge Elementary School PTO.  

Second grade student Katelyn Garcia enjoyed breakfast with her mother Ms. Rebecca Zentmyer, who served in the Marine Corp. Katelyn was all smiles, creating precious memories with her mother.

Pine Forge Elementary School principal Mrs. Kelly Mason was honored to be a part of this event, “Veterans Day is such an important day to celebrate. Connecting veterans and students presents unique opportunities for students to learn about their family members’ experiences and the importance of Veterans Day and veterans alike.”
