The Boyertown Area School District is proud to share that 13 Boyertown Area Senior High School students were presented with awards at the Berks County Intermediate Unit’s annual art exhibit.
Mr. Michael Jordan, Boyertown Area School District’s lead teacher for the arts, is proud of all students who participated. “Congratulations to all of the students that had an opportunity to display their pieces at the BCIU’s annual art exhibit, and to the fabulous art staff for giving our students the skills and inspiration to create such impressive works of art,” he said.
Every year since 1981, the Berks County Intermediate Unit has presented an annual art exhibit featuring the creative works of exceptional Berks County secondary school students. The exhibit, hosted by GoggleWorks Center for the Arts and supported by Reading-Berks Guild of Craftsmen and Berks Art Council, displays work by young artists from Berks County’s 18 public school districts. Categories include printmaking, oil, watercolor and acrylic painting, calligraphy, sculpture, fiber arts, photography, ceramics, digital art, jewelry, basket weaving, pastel, and drawing.
The exhibit will be on display through March 13 in the Cohen Gallery, on the main floor of the building.
