There new PA Immunization Regulations effective for the 2017-18 School Year requiring an additional immunization for attendance in 12th Grade Please click New School Vaccination/Immunization Requirements below.Students 16 years of age and older, entering 12th Grade must provide immunization records from a health care provider documenting 2 doses of the MCV (meningococcal conjugate vaccine). If the student’s first MCV dose was given at 16 years of age or older, only one dose is required. The BASH certified school nurses will be contacting parents/guardians of the students that currently only have one MCV dose on file at BASH so they can either schedule an appointment if the student needs a 2nd MCV or, if the student has had 2 doses of MCV, submit updated immunization records to the school nurse. If a student entering 12th Grade does NOT have a 2nd MCV, and the 2nd dose is medically appropriate, the child must receive that dose within the first five days of school or risk exclusion from school (see attachment).
