Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Wentling

Welcome to Our Class!

I am pleased to take this opportunity to introduce myself and welcome your child to our class. I look forward to the upcoming challenges and celebrations that teachers, parents and students will experience together!

I have a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Alvernia University, with an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Delaware. I worked as a social worker, then became a teacher while serving in the Peace Corps in The Republic of Vanuatu, which is located in the South Pacific. I’m grateful for both experiences because I know I love working with children and absolutely love teaching!

My family keeps me very busy.  We have 4 children; Julia, Nathan, Giavonna, and Anthony. They like to play basketball, tennis, and run cross country and track. My oldest is in her second year of college, 2nd oldest is starting college this year, and my youngest two are in high school.  We have a black lab mix dog named Winnie.  She is named after one of my favorite books, Winnie the Pooh.

I believe that a good learning experience is built on a cooperative effort among parent, child, and teacher. My expectations for conduct and academic standards are high, as we build a classroom community that is challenging, supportive, and enjoyable. With your support, we can look forward to a productive, creative, and fun year together.

Again, welcome. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. You may call and leave a message on my voicemail during the school day, or e-mail me at any time. I will respond as soon as I am able. I look forward to getting to know you and your child.
