Health & Safety Plan 2021-2022 January 2002 Review

At the Tuesday, January 11, 2022, Board of School Directors’ Committee of the Whole meeting, our administrative team presented our recommendations for updating the BASD 2021-2022 Health & Safety Plan.

The plan is up for a ratification vote at next Tuesday’s (1/18/2022) Board of School Directors’ Finance Committee meeting at 7 PM in the BASH New Auditorium.

Our plan is to present this content in its current state at the meeting on the 18th.  The format, spelling, and final grammar review will take place throughout this week, but again, our plan is to keep the content the same.

We would ask you to review the plan and provide your feedback to us by Sunday, January 16th at 9 PM.

That will provide us with time to make any content adjustments should the need arise prior to the formal recommendation to the School Board and their ratification vote.

In order to submit your feedback, please email us at HealthandSafety21-22@boyertownasd.org.

Please be aware that your feedback will be shared via a public webpage at https://www.boyertownasd.org/Page/6290.  Please note that BASD will remove any identifying information from your email prior to posting.  We also reserve the right to redact any language or content deemed inappropriate – including, but not limited to name-calling, curse words, personal attacks, etc.

You are welcome to follow the public email comments at the same location.

We look forward to hearing from you!

    Thank you and be well,
    Boyertown Area School District

Emergency Broadband Benefit Program - Added on Wednesday, May 5, 2021

The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program that provides a temporary discount on monthly broadband bills for qualifying low-income households. If your household is eligible, you can receive:

    • Up to a $50/month discount on your broadband service and associated equipment rentals
    • Up to a $75/month discount if your household is on qualifying Tribal lands
    • A one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer (with a co-payment of more than $10 but less than $50)

Only one monthly service discount and one device discount is allowed per household.

The FCC expects enrollment for the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program to open on May 12, 2021. It will end when the fund runs out of money, or six months after the Department of Health and Human Services declares an end to the COVID-19 health emergency, whichever is sooner. You can find more information on the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program at this link: getemergencybroadband.org
