    Attention 7th and 8th grade softball players:  Today’s practice is canceled. Tomorrow will be the final day of tryouts. Please come prepared for indoor and outdoor practice tomorrow. If you have any questions please contact Coach Bramble or Coach Miller.

  • JHE Book Fair in the library March 6-10 & online now - March 18

    Students are invited to check out the book selection at the fair!  Students will be attending during their English classes during book fair week. The online book fair is going on now. Go to http://www.scholastic.com/bf/jhe to buy books until March 18. Shipping to the school is free! Books will be delivered to your homeroom. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Mento in the library or at kmento@boyertownasd.org.  Thanks for your support!

  • JHE is a Latex Aware Environment

    Junior High East appreciates the support and effort of the school and community organizations that play such an integral role in the academic and social success of ALL of our students.  As a friendly reminder, JHE is a latex-aware environment.  If you are hosting/facilitating events in which you are utilizing balloons, Mylar balloons MUST be used in lieu of latex balloons.  Thank you for your cooperation.

  • Medication Information 

    The nurse’s office will be open from 9-11:30 AM and 6-8:30 PM on 8/25/2016 for those parents who would like to drop-off medication for their student (s). This schedule is for medication drop-off only. If you have a specific concern, please email cmoser@boyertownasd.org to arrange a time for a phone conference or meeting.

    The following criteria must be met to accept medication:

    * A completed "Authorization for School Medication Administration" which may be downloaded from the district's website at https://www.boyertownasd.org or a written Doctor’s order with his or her signature listing the name of the medication, time and dose to be administered.  All medication requires both the parent and physician signatures.

    *All medication is to be hand delivered by an ADULT to the nurse’s office in the original container that is properly labeled along with the written Doctor’s order as stated above.

    *Secondary students are able to carry their inhalers and epi-pens with the required consent. In certain situations for field trips or extra-curricular activities, the student may self-administer his/her prescription or over-the-counter medication with approval /signature of parent, physician, and the Certified School Nurse in compliance with the BASD medication policy. For the purpose of BASD policy 5142 (a), "medication" shall include all prescription, over-the-counter (OTC) medicines, alternative medicines, or any other substance used for medicinal purposes.

    PLEASE NOTE: Medication Authorization Forms are active for the current school year only. A new Medication Authorization Form must be completed yearly for ALL medication administered in school or on field trips.

    We are excited to announce that breakfast is now available in the cafeteria from 7:15 to 7:30 AM!  Students can choose from a variety of items.  See the on-line menu for daily options.  The price of breakfast will be $1.40.  A healthy breakfast is a great way to start your day.  See you in the cafeteria each morning!
