DIVORCE AND CHILDREN
Parental separation and divorce always requires adjustments for children, no matter how old they are.Children are often sad, afraid, angry and worried about who will take care of them. Children need to know that their mother and father will still be their parents even though the marriage is ending and the parents will not live together. During and after a parental separation and divorce, the one thing which influences children's emotional, social and psychological adjustment the most is the intensity of the conflict between the parents. Here are some helpful resources for helping children deal with divorce and separation:Facts for Families -https://www.aacap.org/App_Themes/AACAP/docs/facts_for_families/01_children_and_divorce.pdf
