The Student Assistance Program (SAP) is a process for identifying and assisting students who are experiencing behavior and/or academic difficulties which pose barriers to their learning and success in school. The core of the Student Assistance Program is a team of teachers, counselors and administrators who have received specialized training through Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Approved SAP Training Providers and other related continuing education. The SAP Team works in partnership with parents to help students who may show signs and symptoms such as the following that affect school success: attendance concerns, disciplinary problems, possible drug/alcohol use, sadness or mood swings, grief & loss, eating disorders, self-injury, &/or anger issues.
