• NEW for 2025-2026: The Community Bulletin Board will include school-related events and fundraising opportunities.

    Purpose:

    The Community Bulletin Board is a service to students, families, and residents of the Boyertown Area School District community.  The goal of the bulletin board is to share information that may directly benefit the students, families, and residents who reside within BASD.

    Circulation/Schedule: 

    Bulletin notices will be posted by request and removed after 30 days from the original posting date or when the item has expired, whichever is greater.

    Editorial Guidelines for Non-School-Related Content:

    • BASD will publish submitted non-school events and programs that follow the Content/Editorial Guidelines and Submission Requirements.
    • Boyertown Area School District neither endorses nor sponsors any non-school-related organization or activity represented on the Bulletin Board. The display of this material is provided as a community service.
    • BASD will not promote or advertise on behalf of any local business, product, or service on the Community Bulletin Board.  This includes but is not limited to daycare, babysitting, tutoring services, etc.
    • The district is not responsible for the content or accuracy of these events and programs. 
    • BASD will only accept messages that promote events or services rendered by a not-for-profit organization, local organization, individual, or business acting on behalf of children, family, or other community betterment.
    • No political advertising is allowed (exception: “Don't forget to vote”). Typical submissions include, but are not limited to, scouting troop contacts, youth sport or recreation opportunities, youth educational programs, community days, and camps.
    • The Superintendent or their designee reserves the discretion to accept or reject submissions.

     Submission Requirements:

    1. Submit via email, including a brief event description, an event flyer, and the specific date the flyer should be taken down, if applicable.
    2. PDF/PNG/JPG Flyer
      • Organizations must create their own event flyer for submission.  BASD does not develop content or create submissions on behalf of the non-school organization.  The flyer must be submitted in either PDF, PNG, or JPG format.
      • Any attachments (registration forms, brochures, etc.) must be submitted in PDF/PNG/JPG format.
      • Items are removed without notification after 30 days/or when the item expires (whichever is greater) unless otherwise specified in the submission email.
      • Submit to Alison Moyer, Communications Specialist, at ammoyer@boyertownasd.org.

    Paper Copies:

    • BASD will only distribute paper copies of event flyers to our elementary students.

    • If your organization wishes to send home paper copies of the flyer posted to our Community Bulletin Board, the request should be made at the time of submission.

    • If approved, the district will provide a copy count.  The requesting organization is responsible for having the copies made and for sorting them by building/grade/classroom.

    • Copies must then be delivered to the attention of Mrs. Moyer at the Education Center, 911 Montgomery Avenue, Boyertown, PA 19512 for final distribution to the school(s).
