Four schools, Pine Forge Elementary, Earl Elementary, New Hanover-Upper Frederick Elementary and Gilbertsville Elementary, in the Boyertown Area School District are not serviced by public water systems. The water is provided by on-site wells. This potable water is treated and tested in accordance with EPA and DEP regulations. Starting in 2016 all on-transient, non-community water systems (NTNCWS) were required to sample for lead and copper in their distribution system. As set forth in 25 PA code section 109.1104 (b), water systems monitoring for lead shall deliver a consumer tap notice to the persons whose taps are used as monitoring sites. The following information is being provided to meet these regulations.
