For District employees currently participating in our health plan: 

Capital Blue covers 100% of the flu shot under preventative care for in-network providers.  The employee will be charged a copayment and possibly office visit depending on the particular doctor.  The office charge is determined by the doctor, and Capital Blue does not have control over that designation. 

Capital Blue highly recommends that if the employee chooses to have the flu vaccination administered by a family doctor, the employee should first check with the doctor’s office to verify their responsibility.  Capital Blue does not offer vouchers for the flu vaccination.  If the employee has questions regarding this process, he/she may call Capital Blue at 1-866-802-4761.  (Our Group number is 00505205.)

Our prescription plan, Express Scripts, is working with specific pharmacies to distribute the flu vaccination at no cost to the employee.  The employee can either call 1-866-221-0305 or log-on to www.Express-Scripts.com to locate a participating pharmacy.  The employee will need to use their social security number and zip code as identification.  The District group number is BOYERRX.
